Guess Who? is the digital edition of the classic tabletop mystery face game where keen observation and elimination lead to victory. Each round places two rivals opposite each other, each secretly assigned a mystery portrait from a shared roster of unique characters. Through alternating turns of deductive questioning, you work to figure out which face your opponent is hiding before they discover yours.
A typical match takes just a few minutes, making it an engaging change of pace from twitch reflex brawlers. Instead of fast button-mashing, success hinges on logic and probability. Every question you ask either knocks out a large portion of the suspect pool or confirms a crucial trait, steadily narrowing down the board until only the true identity remains standing.
At the start of the match, both players draw a random secret identity card. The game board displays all available suspect tiles, each featuring a character with distinct traits such as hair color, glasses, hats, facial hair, or eye color. You interact with the board using simple mouse clicks or tap controls.
On your turn, choose a specific physical trait to ask your opponent about, such as whether their character has blond hair or wears a hat. Once your rival answers with a yes or no, click on the eliminated character cards on your board to flip them down. When you are confident you have identified the secret suspect, declare your final guess to claim the win.
While Bacon May Die and Iron Snout focus on chaotic melee action and frantic survival, Guess Who? offers a deliberate head-to-head mental duel. If you enjoy rival showdowns and quick competitive rounds, titles like 12 Minibattles, Thumb Fighter, and Superbattle 2 on Bacon May Die also deliver fast multiplayer competition with distinct rule sets.
Guess Who? runs in an ordinary browser tab from baconmaydie.org, with nothing to download or install, so it plays on most school Chromebooks and work computers. If a network filter blocks the site, only that network's administrator can change it.
When your opponent answers a trait question, click the face tiles that do not match the answer to flip them over and remove them from your board.
Yes, you can play single-player matches against an AI opponent or challenge a friend in pass-and-play two-player mode directly in your browser.
If you guess your opponent's secret character incorrectly before properly narrowing down the candidates, you forfeit your turn or lose the match depending on the active game rules.
